Your savings bond values will be updated automatically at the beginning of every month.

How many bonds can I enter into the Savings Bond Tracker?
You may enter as many bonds as you like. We have no limits on the number of bonds an individual may enter.

Can I build multiple portfolios?
Yes, you can build as many portfoios as you need.

How much does it cost?
The Savings Bond Tracker service is FREE!

How are lost, stolen, or destroyed I Bonds replaced?
The Bureau of the Public Debt is authorized to replace lost, stolen, or destroyed I Bonds. You can file a claim by writing to: Bureau of the Public Debt, Parkersburg, West Virginia 26106-7012. You'll need to complete Form PDF 1048.

Keep records of your Savings Bond serial numbers, issue dates, and the social security or taxpayer identification numbers in a safe place. This information will help speed up the replacement process. The Savings Bond Tracker is a great place to keep this type of information.

How can I tell if a bond has been redeemed?
If you are unsure if the savings bond has been redeemed, the United States Treasury can lookup the status of the bond. To do so, a signed request by the owner or co-owner must be received by the Treasury before they can provide the information. If the bond owner or both co-owners are deceased, then the person making the request needs to provide proof, such as a copy of the death certificate(s). Send the request to:

What are my savings bonds currently worth?

What are Patriot Bonds?
Patriot bonds are paper EE Bonds purchased through financial institutions. They are inscribed with the words "Patriot Bond."

What is the difference between EE and I Bonds?
The biggest difference is the rate you receive on your bonds. Rates for EE Bonds are calculated as 90% of 6-month averages of 5-year Treasury Securities market yields, while rates for I Bonds are calculated by combining fixed rates of return and semi-annual inflation rates based on the CPI-U.
